I've killed everything in Dark Souls now, doing the DLC before I finish up and kill Gwyn.
Debating whether to NG+ or just jump straight into Dark Souls 2. 100% Dark Souls before Dark Souls 2 duh.
Only need up to 3 playthroughs to get 100% Really more like 2 1/2 to get all rare weapons. I'm so torn on what system to buy this for, i honestly think that i'll wait for the pc release, mostly because there's too many god damn great games to play atm, and it's probably just an excuse for when i'll actually have more freetime to dedicate myself to it lol.
So for some reason using a Playstation shaped controller on PC swaps buttons around for Dark Souls. I decided to boot up the PS3 and get all the system updates etc out of the way in prep for Tuesday and figured I would throw in my Ps3 copy and see where I left off ages ago and play a bit. On PC my sprint was Triangle and my accept/pickup items etc was circle not X. Also my start select were swapped with R3 and L3 I guess because locking on was start on PC and is now R3 on Ps3. Now I kinda gotta learn to play again on PS3 :/ I just went to grab the Glass Crest Shield and was trying to quickly pick it up before the Black Knight reached me and I spammed circle (PC pick up button) and rolled off the edge >.>
Do you use DS3 Tool for your PS3 controller on PC? You basically remap any button on the controller to do what you want.

 That Wal-Mart dun goofed. Some people definitely got lucky. Honestly, I hope someone says something to the right people and it has to be taken off the shelf till the 11th.
Also, wasn't the black armor edition supposed to be more expensive than the standard? Black armor is like the limited quantity addition it gives you a the soundtrack free... kinda like a pre-order bonus (that doesn't mess with the game).
Dark souls 1 had one too when it first came on and you got an art book for free which was pretty epic and cool but the art book for 2 is packed the expensive set which made me ;;. One cool playthrough that's worth doing is one were you read all the text for the items you pick up to get a deeper taste of the lore ooooor watch one of the many lore vids on youtube. I just saw the collector's edition option and what came with it and instantly wanted it. Can't wait for the 11th to pick it up either.

I do that anyway on any RPG I play for the first time. I read all the books in-game in both Oblivion and Skyrim. I actually have the Black Armor edition of DS1 for PS3. Big metal case with art book, game and a card to download bonus stuff (soundtrack, behind the scenes and mini strategy guide). I only reserved the basic edition of DS2 though since I only plan on playing it until PC release. I didn't know I was playing wrong on PC until this morning and that was after 3 playthroughs of DS1. Just beat the DLC yesterday, summoned two people to help, one fell down a hole on the way to Manus so I summoned Sif in his place, always seems funner with others.
Gonna clear up some loose ends, kindle bonfires, upgrade weapons/armour and then beat Gwyn, ready for new game +. I'd like to remind everyone that all Dark Souls II spoilers need to be kept to this topic.
If you're posting anything critical that's spoiler'ish period keep it in a spoiler tag, if it's not that big of a deal I don't mind if you don't. This rule will be in effect for the first week or so, after that I don't really care. We can decide when it's appropriate to not enforce it. Preferably I'd like to keep all DS2 spoiler talk away from other topics until PC release. Dark Souls I discussion is fine outside of the topic~ 15.5 hours away :)

my Xbox360 is PAL and i ordered Dark Souls 2 NTSC ver. so does anyone know if it's region locked or not?

Instead of retaining any useful knowledge my mind just collects random junk facts. Its my super power.
So I've decided that tonight I'm just going to sleep for 3 hours or so when I get off work, then get DS2 at midnight, maybe go back to sleep or I might play it till I go to work in the early morning lol.

336 minutes away!! My gamestop is doing a midnight release for Titanfall, and Dark Souls 2! But I will just be getting TF (<_<). It looks like early copies weren't sent out to reviewers, because there are no reviews out for DS2.
I only ordered TF, I still have yet to finish dark souls myself but slowly getting there.
