Might have something to do with not being able to log out too. Yesterday sucked as I froze in jueno trying to log out did it to me about 15x as I was muling about and had to crash my xbox to get back on each time.
The mouse is the best kept secret in FFXI. All those times you got out-claimed... it wasn't bots! It was the mouse users who simply had to click on the NM rather than tabbing through the NQ mob spam to get to it. :D:D:D:D
Seriously though, it's the only time I use my mouse in the game. So much better than tabbing through a million squibs while trying to target Heqet.
use a controller and you don't have to do this, you were doing it wrong.
edit: you still don't do it that way with keyboard onry...
Am i missing something? Can you use scroll ball to navigate like tabbing? If so I will have to give it a try, guess it's never come up for me. As for just clicking on a mob, that's all fine and dandy unless they are stacked, or even within a yalm or 2 of each other which case the mouse, at least in this game, has a fatal flaw and is unable to get as precise as I would like I guess.

you just position yourself properly or that there are faster ways to claim than targeting them first.
(one of those the game can target something before you can see it deals, the ps2 will load npcs faster so not sure if that would make this method better or even it out...hmm)

Ya that's what I've always done also, good positioning and can target anything pretty much on demand.
It might be soemthing to do with my time on the site idk. All my times on posts are really wrong too but I could never find any option to change time :S

Well, from what Scragg told me, "...JavaScript can determine the timezone of the user. I am looking into a solution..." when I asked him about it the first time.
Scragg said:
My code that does it look something like this:
Code javascript
$(".local-date").each(function(){
var t = $(this).text();
if (t){
var d = new Date();
d.setTime(Date.parse(t));
$(this).text(d.toLocaleString());
$(this).removeClass('local-date');
}
});
Do you have javascript turned off or something like that? :o

Don't think that would cause that :x then I have no clue lol D:
I have updated firefox, nobody uses IE (or should...) have noscript and adblock but I allow scripts on this site.
just paid attention to the time on posts: doesn't account for dst it seems. (or it may be because I'm connected via my phone and it thinks I'm in a different time zone, the other day it said I was in Texas.

Yea, my firefox with nothing loaded is giving that problem, but Chrome isn't.
Well... next maintenance I'll probably go back to using a table if Scragg doesn't know what to do. That's lame, I liked having that code too lol. oh well D:
firefox usually works with more things than chrome (well from what I understand it's more compliant with the standard) but for me it works for more things...
Scragg is a genius it shouldn't take him long to figure it out.
A plugin (not an extension) that firefox uses might have been broken by firefox in one of these recent updates. Ever since I upgraded to v10 my firefox has been crashing randomly, sometimes every five minutes, others I can go for hours.
the nes controllers connect via a serial fashion, no?
people adapted nes controllers to usb, shouldn't be hard to do the same for that.
Not sure if they ran it through a microcontroller or not though, may just be easier to get a nes>usb adapter instead of reconfiguring it, then you can use it on the nes still.

scripting is a basic functionality of a web browser so doubt it...
