Good thing im a bard id lose my head if i had to see my food get eaten by a lolbird (i dont bother with food on BRD except the occasional taco)

This man speaks the truth. I use a trollbane(I think) and can pull both middle and almost half the birds on the bottom. It's helpful because no elegy so your DD can /SAM or /WAR, and it's faster paced... Personal preference.

Aye, it's totally personal preference, but I honestly don't think elegy makes much difference when a mob lasts a maximum of 30 seconds. Pulling with a chakram means it doesn't stop twice on the way back to camp, meaning you can pull them as you need them, rather than 5 seconds before you need them. Also eliminates the risk of getting hit with Elegy.

Call me crazy, but one of the best parties I ever had was brd, drg/blu x4 and me on rdm/whm. Two of the drg/blu were healing the whole party (so could easily swap the other two for w/e DD you want), brd was doing next to nothing, and I was pulling with lamiabane on rdm/whm and buffing. I know someone's about to abuse me for not putting dia on the mobs, but eh, it was an awesome party.

Bane/Elegy combo works better than either alone. If it's in elegy range, do it. Less damage DDs take, easier to ride things like zerk and hasso. Lamiabane the long pulls that you can't reach w/ elegy.

They mimic but have 1 second casting time... even on AM xD

always uses Feather Tickle when I ready a weaponskill or in the middle of a skillchain

I was in a pt with a mnk who`d just used some food and the bird immediately took it before it had a chance to take effect

I'm guesing he meant before the food consumption animation finished or something.

I figured as much, but you still get the stats the instant it's on. If he didn't have the effects yet, then the morsel snatch would have failed because the food wasn't on yet (while probably in the process of using it) and directly after the bird used snatch then the food goes on :)
