Bune

I've done it NIN/DNC but that's totally different. I'd imagine it would be doable with bolts regardless.

My friend Insane should be able to give you some insight on this.

He and I have duoed it quite often. Originally, he went for a max haste setup which we found wasn't the best. We improved it by him going for max evasion skill setup. He was at about 319 evasion skill when we did it together.

Fang rush is nasty. In addition he has some breadth attacks which slow and silence you. Also he has a move that can paralyze you. RDM enfeebles and help on status removal makes Bune a joke. However, it can start off rocky. If you are duoing it have tp ready to cement hate at the start.


Like I said Insane would give you more info on what you'd need to know to solo it but that's my two cents.

THF/NIN can too. Just need lots of Remedies. Lol.

DRG/WHM (Or was it /BLU? I don't remember) can. Problem isn't staying alive, you just have to kill it before it rages.

Im not a NIN myself but so cannot telly ou if possible or not, I would imagine you might struggle a bit....If he got in a Fang Rush at the wrong time or paralyzed you and you were unable to get rid of it...I'd imagine you'd be in all sorts of trouble...saying that i have seen my friend solo on NIN/DNC with full EVA setup without it hitting him once...

Alone for a thf on the other hand I think is a tall order. A raw Bune with no enfeebles and a person getting no haste or support is gonna be a dicey fight.

You probably want to get your evasion skill above 330. This guys ninjitsu seemed to help out alot.

i got dropped by a nasty fang rush pre debuff phase and the thf tanked him just fine for the 5m i was out, but u have the rdm for paralyna and silena

2nd go i pulled him with paralyze over ranged attack

Fang Rush really is a killer. If it hits you mid-Utsu cast, you're toast. Similarly, if it hits you with 1 shadow left, again, you're nomming on sand >_>;

Personally I'd have a RDM or WHM there at least to help out when ***hits the fan. Bune is a much more difficult mob than people give it credit for sometimes.

I was in the ls as a leader when ent said he solo'd sim to 20% on thf. Faline Wanted to leave the ls because it was that HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE. Ent go *** troll elsewhere good sir.

If you wanna solo bune, then why no meds? Point of soloing something is to kill it, and make it as easy as possible for yourself while doing that.

drg can solo sim pretty easy yeah, thf (solo DD sure, but solo, /doubt)I doubt cuz it has like 90% acc no matter your eva. sam/dnc or something can most likely solo it also with a proper dmg- etc sets, or excal aegis pld or so on.

But anyways
If you can get your eva high enough bune should be totally playsable to solo on thf/nin (even more with a npc pearl etc) with luck on the remedies and so on.

I have tried. Advice: don't bother. Change to NIN/DNC and do it, it's way easier. On THF/NIN you can claim it and hold it all day long providing you know what you're doing and have the right equipment. However, without an absolute ***ton of meds, to kill it raw on THF/NIN is impossible.
