I know there have been some Trial of the Magians threads before but I wanted a thread that could hopefully summarize any findings for exceptional weapons for all the jobs.

Did any of the GKs ever compare to Hagun? Did the OAT turn out to be awesome or crap? I'm personally interested in any significant weapons on WHM, BLM, PLD, DRG, COR and SAM but feel free to list a weapon that may be significant on any job!

I hope that this thread can be a lot more convenient for people interested in doing some TotM instead of having to search through multiple forums.

I'll start with Magnatus w/ the DMG+6 augment for COR, making it the new best QD gun.

Edit: Im gonna try and keep a list of the weapons for each job

WHM -

RDM -

BLM - ???

MNK - ???

WAR - ???

THF -

DRG - ???

SAM - ???

BRD - ???

NIN -

BST - ???

SCH -

DNC -

BLU - ???

COR -

PUP - ???

DRK - ???

PLD - ???

RNG - ???

SMN -

For anything that cures:

For the Merit BP-happy SMNs:

DNC THF goodness:

Other neat things...

I've heard rumors that this (and the other element-specific staves) are better than Elemental staves?
Don't quote me:

Evasion:

Neat mainhand?

Yeah about that what exactl;y is magic dmg +3? While I feel it is somewhat safe to assume macc +1 is well +1 macc (which would suck compared to HQ staffs and would require lots of regearing on alot of mobs) wtf is Magic dmg? And can it really beat +15% dmg? I doubt it but who knows.

The rumor I heard is that some test showed that the staff's damage was better. So much better to be worth getting? I really don't know. Look at the trials, it's a huge pain in the ***, lol. :x

Well not just the pain in the *** to get but, can't maccro them in for different spells. And how much dmg in other slots will you have to give up to still land your spells?

Yeah, if you got one it'd probably just be one (effort required, lack of macroing ability...). I'm not a mage, but I guess having to change everything around just for one element would kind of blow. @___@;

What trial is this and would the +5% extra cure be worth it over Light Staff's 10%? (for SCH).

790 > 791 > 828, 829 > 834 > 838

Edit: Dasva can't type 790 (:D) and it's worth it if you think it is. Roundel Earring is 5% cure potency for 5+ mil depending on the server, maybe more now. Aristocrat's Coat is 2% more cure potency over Noble's tunic and that's some million more, as well. (I don't care to check prices ; -;)

Final Trial should be 838 but you can look them all up on wiki

a smn could greatly profit of the 8 different -4 perpet staves...

but i did the 15% cure one... and hell im not touching another one until the June update... doing Staff Trials is a pain due to the lack of beeing able to solo mobs fast enough except youre with company (in fact it took me three days to get the spider part done due to the lack of weather... in a group of 6... -.-)

for NIN you better dont forget these:

not to mention you can dual-wield them since theyre not rare...

Well many good stuff out there but its just too much ><

/edit: Yes... 5% definitly gonna outweight the 1 mnd and vit you get from Light Staff - only reason i keep this for my WHM is for Repose/flash and Divine Spells

Proc rate is 40%. Doesn't work like Jailer Weapons. Procs on first punch only for Warfangs. Doesn't proc on WS.
