DRG got screwed

I was so excited to hear DRG will be getting next tier of HB. Initial testing I had done suggests that it is nothing more than a virtually static 60-65 HP increase.
Using the old HB formula
FLOOR(0.1757*(Drachen Brais Bonus + Wyvern XP Bonus + 1)*(Helm Bonus + Wyvern TP Bonus + Deep Breathing Bonus + 1)*(Wyv. HP + Wyv +HP gear)+42)
It seems that they havent adjusted the Multiplier at the front just the +42 at the end is about +105 now.
SO it means all the nice HB bonus sutff/gear/DB/WHP+ make no diff.
est wyvern hp to be about 1470 at 99, 0xp i get
Naked 0%tp 365
Naked + DB = 612
Wyrm+2, Glassblowers+Lancer neck = 670
+105HP, +10%hp wyrm+2 glass+lancer= 788
as above +300% tp = 866
+105HP, +10%hp wyrm+2 glass+DB=1083 (forgot to equip lancer neck)
So overall crappy HB update, was hoping for 900+ in normal gear but atleast the jump timers are lower

Wait, I did some inital tests like 2-3 weeks ago and was getting ~860 with full gear, HBIII was doing 714 and HBIII was ~860ish. Did they nerf it?

Also with Wyvern XP Bonus I was getting ~1100ish and Deep breathing close to 1900 with +2 head.

Gonna compare it right now. I was getting 860ish on test server fully geared which is more than 100 increase over HBIII

Healing Breath IV is amazing. OP is on crack. It's extremely powerful because HB III was already a free MPless Cure V, now we have a free MPless Cure VI.

Untill Call wyvern's timer is as low as Call Beast (which it should be considering wyverns get 1 shot and jug pets solo gods) healing on drg is pretty much for pts and old content. DRG been screwed since Abyssea came out. Should just make Call wyvern its 2hr again to laugh at us more when our wyvern dies in VW and White is wyvern breath -doesnt matter cuz it wont use it any way before it dies and has a 20 minute respawn which the fight will be over by then @u@

Thats hit was ridiculous. DNC, PUP, any low HP job was boned if a NM decided to do one of 10,000 of there 1shot tp moves. I mean, run in and take 3k damage from Pil? -_-

My biggest complaint about drg and Voidwatch is not being able to make them do a specific breath as needed. All I ever get it doing is one breath over and over most of the time. -.-;

Some of them you can "adjust" their resistances via brd, blm, nin and rdm spells, but quite a few you can't as their base resistances are just so *** high... Kaggen is one of them...

lol really? youre crying about a 5mp, hateless, spammable cure that already heals half of your hp? (dont even think about mentioning abyssea) nevermind the fact that all of your jumps had their cooldown periods slashed, and you can break the haste cap with your 2hr.

Don't forget the HP boost we got makes our HB trigger a little higher now too, makes us a bit more survivable as /mage.
I don't main DRG anymore but I personally was very pleased with this update.

A Friend informed me you need other players to weaken it's resistance to the specific element, like using the nin elemental wheel, brd songs, and AMII's. In most cases it works out very well and the wyvern uses the right breathe. That being said, there are mobs that it just may never work on.

I spent the entire night doing GOV with Dragoon and I am very happy
with the new DRG adjustments.
Jumps timers always seemed to be at 0:00, HB4 gives 900+ HP per without Deep Breathing, and 5/5 stardiver looks and performs great.
OP says DRG got screwed?

Use /WAR in VW until they nerf Miser's roll btw. I WS just as frequently as I did with /SAM except my WS do about 1k more. Highest on Pil last night was 2823...although the WAR's best Ukko was 3827 :/

The problem being I'm only ever asked to dragoon in pickup groups, and that level of cooperation is very hard to come by in pickup groups.
Almost a non-issue, really, given how easy other procs are in most cases and how infrequently I'm on drg. But still...a little more specificity with the breath used would be great. Similar to the way corsair can pick among the quick draw elements.
Overall not a serious complaint and drg has it pretty good these days compared to the old, old days.

They should really just make VW weaknesses appear as "elemental weaknesses" to pet AI, so that Wyverns would use the right breath with the appropriate breath gear, or whatever.
But you know, that would take more than 5 minutes of an intern's time, so the development team won't be implementing such a feature.
