Assuming normal DDing, RR+VV+Apoc or RR+GH+Apoc. Drakesbane is your friend.

rr+vv+ss will also give you nice numbers with drakes and even penta. only time you are goin to want to use wheeling is if you need to proc or you want ws points

If you don't have Drakesbane unlocked you should be using Skewer with razed ruins.

Probably 30%, easy to test though (I can't)

RR SS VV seems to be a clear winner for making things dead quickly.
60% Critical Hit Damage Increase, DA, Attack, STR, Crit Rate.
RR VV Apoc old standard Atma Combo, Re Raise, moderate Crit and STR increase. Can assist in completing a 5 hit build, and triple attack.
RR GH and Apoc isn't anything to cry home about, and pretty much not going to pull ahead of much. High crit rate, low damage, Weaker WS than the 2 above mentioned.
This is my 2 cents, perhaps math can show a clearer perspective. I messed around with all 3 combos for a long bit in Abyssea. Even tried SS RR Apoc, still ended up enjoying RR SS VV a lot more.

what do you ws for? does your sekkanoki do 6k back to back? don't think so...
quick curt answers don't prove your any where near correct. just shows you're bandwagon and cookie cutter.
in anycase, i'm sure math will give some solid numbers :)

SS/RR/AoA is best in the long run I believe there is a spread sheet for WAR, I'd apply the same concept to Dragoon and Drakesbane. Not to mention SS does more for jumps then VV does since they autocrit.

Going from 10% TA to 15% TA is a boost of 8.33%
Going from 700Att to 750Att vs a Lv97 350def mob is a boost of 8.66%
Didn't concider that TA affects TP damage and WS damage and frequency whereas the Att only affects TP damage and WS damage.
With that in mind, say we are 60% WS, 40% Jumps/TP damage, the 5% TA actually adds 8.33+(60% of 8.33)=13.33%
So actually I was wrong, Apoc wins very comfortably.
----------------------------------
the above is some math that was done when comparing AoA versus Apoc
5% TA, vs 50 attack. It maybe different for WAR's indeed. since most opt for lower attack builds that use Tactics Mantle, so their ATK goes low enough to make the 50 attack matter to the extent of out parsing a 5% TA increase? Dunno. But this is what was done in this.

DRG also doesn't have Berserk to depend on.

DRG also doesn't have Berserk to depend on. AoA is just a different way of writing Apoc (Atma of Apocalypse)
you're thinking of AO or AaO, which is alpa and omega.

Only reason not to really use Apoc is if you'r afraid tp feeding is gonna be a problem.
Like when dualboxing or something.
If you can have extra DDs on the nm apart from the tank, tp feeding doesnt really matter, because it's gonna be alot of tp fed to the mob anyways.

DD wise I go for.... VV SS RR.
I used to use Apoc instead of SS till they changed the crit stuff. I average 5-6k drakes now with SS on though which is nice. Its a shame about losing triple attack on jumps though :(
Healing wise I go for Ebon hoof, impenterable tower(i think thats it, yaneei one) and SS.
Also, what skarwind said, leave lolpenta to the SAMs. Use skewer if you aint got Drakes.

SS is only a 30% increase to your crits. Granted, you are critting most of the time, so the two atmas are probably close, but apoc should be winning.
Edit: forgot to factor in the decreasing returns on the crit damage, so SS is actually closer to 20% increase in crit DPS.

All lilicarnage said was "Wheeling thrust?!" Which... no matter how new you are, if you have skewer or penta, you know wheeling thrust isnt really that good...

I only mock tuvae. Yet, after each time he steps back, takes a good look and is over come with a feeling of so much pride, he weeps but just a little.
what are the best atmas for drg?
