I have gotten 180% TP from meditate a couple of times, usually either waiting for BCNM/ISNM or doing a pop as SAM.
I have also gotten 72% TP from WAR/SAM a couple of times also.
Its rare, but not unheard of. Couple of my linkshell mates got it too.

I just did that testing after someone opened this thread to check it out myself, I honestly don't care enough to stand around and meditate 1.200-12.000 times as you so idioticly are assuming me to do lol. And of course I reset my TP after each go, else there would be nothing to test.
And when I don't get double proc and hit this "delay,right time,tick" that are you talking about, wich I know excists in 150 meditates it's more than fair to make the assumption that the chance of getting 180TP is low. It happens. Chance is quite low, but it happens. To those who don't believe it: you've never got 140 tp using just one Meditate piece? (Just the hands or head, not both) The bonus 40 tp can proc on both pieces, = 180tp total
This happened to me last Saturday just before KSNM 99 got 72tp from one meditate.
Sam with AF head + AF² hands almost always reach 160% TP in one meditate, sometimes 140% and (very) rarely 180%.

All slip effects(DoT/Regen/Meditate) operate on the same universal timer. These items increase duration, not #/ticks. As a result, using meditate very close to when server processes slip effects can result in an extra tick.

Can we all agree on the generality that occasionally, through some vague and nigh-impossible-to-pin-down way, a 180TP Meditate is indeed possible, and let this topic die?
180TP is possible, and oddly enough it happens more often when I shikikoyo my excess TP and continue to watch my TP tick. I don't know if certain abilities affect the Random Number Generator which determines if AF2 Hands or Af1 Head will proc a 20% or 40% bonus but I definitely notice 180 more times than not when I shikikoyo in between my first and lack tick.
Dunno if it was said, but I think 'Store TP' was said to add to Meditate a little bit... I read that somewhere, Internet doesn't lie.

I have never, ever gotten 180%. It's a myth distributed by liars and people trying to perpetuate the myth.
As far as I'm concerned 160% is the cap. I've never gotten 180% and I've never seen any other sam in any of my linkshells get 180%. Yes, I always look at other melee's tp, I'm a sam it's my job. You are all probably just seeing an extra swing in there or something.. or just pretending it happened to be apart of the elite 180% group which doesn't exist. 180% has the same odds of being real as someone that loves to play pup being a straight male.

err come on. its also possible to get 120 w/o AF head nor AF2 gloves.. which is more surprising.
Quote isn't working for me so...@Vivicide try this for me on your free time, meditate a couple times with only using myochin kabuto and see if you get 140tp, than try it with only saotome kote and see if you get 140 tp, if you do, than wouldnt you think theres a chance for you to get 180tp with meditate when you have both on? I've tried it myself and yes both have gotten 140tp on a meditate
I'm well aware that you can get 140% with either piece. The chances of them proc'ing at the same time is not far fetched. Which would make 180% pretty *** common. Therefore, me never see'ing this in my life leads me to believe there is a cap on it being 160%

That's you Vs. 100's of others who've had it proclaimed on them, believe what you want. On a side note as others have said I've seen those type of glitches where you get an extra 12tp as /sam. "Maybe" its just a glitch that once in awhile you get an extra tic on meditate whether you are sam/ or /sam.
Tell me the error of my ways. Tell me how to make this proc more often and I will try it. If I'm wrong I will announce that I've seen 180%. If some people are saying that this happens a lot I obviously am doing something wrong. Please teach me all mighty sam masters.

You can get 180% if you time it right, do it a couple times just before the tick (can look with clock) and you might get lucky on it. It's pretty rare but its not a myth. Also store tp works on Icarus Wings but not on meditate.
Jeez you sound a little frustrated, sorry about that ; ;, from my own personal experience its just a small % chance of it happening, some people have gotten it, some have not. You have to love the randomness of this game. Ex. K club dropping me going 1/1 you going 0/130. If there is any possible way of increasing that % chance of getting 180tp/meditate I would gladly tell you, but i don't ; ;
I'm not heart broken at all about this. Follow me here for a min. I don't think it would be far fetched to say either piece by itself has a low rate of 140%. So by this standard double the chance of getting 140% from either piece and this should be your chance of getting 180%. Which over the course of a few years I should have seen a plethora of times.
I've seen KC drop twice. I've seen D.ring drop three times. I've seen some extremely rare ***drop. I have used meditate countless times. I have never seen 180%. Satanas like I give a ***about KC. Take that to the emo drk forums where someone might care. lol

Let's say I have used meditate 100k which is probably extremely low, the chances would most likely be higher then .000001% chance of it happening. To say how much I think I'm right on this I honestly believe you are all either liars or yes men that claim to have seem 180%.
Even if it is a timing thing. I should accidentally hit this time every so many meditates on average. I'm a firm believer in numbers. Numbers don't lie, people do. This is why I can't "take your word for it". I don't think it would be far fetched to say I've used meditate 500,000 times. By that standard, odds would most likely be higher then 1/500,000. Higher then 1 in 500,000. I lol at you sir if you think SE would go into that amount of detail to *** with meditate by 20tp. I've gotten 72 a few times on DRK and no scythe only gives 12% per hit so yes 180% with both pieces equipped is possible.
