It made more sense to play on a NA server living here in the US. After dealing with the JP only stuff in XI the idea was refreshing. Not to mention lessening the language barrier occurrence.
Read somewhere on lodestone that they're in the process of getting more new servers for their data centers to help reduce the stress on the worlds and to support larger numbers in login/creation.
they prob looked at presales, then figured out a good # of servers to use, since probaly 50% or more won't play past the first month or two as in most new mmos.

No, they're expanding servers to get you into your house, not just making new worlds. Next week they will be expanding the server sizes so that more people can create characters on existing servers.
Actually they are doing both they are adding more worlds and increasing the sizes.
Okay, so im trying to get my macros from PC onto my PS3, outside of just plugging in a USB (i've tried, its not finding the appropriate files...) how can i transfer the MACROS.DAT over?
