Is that SCH I see?! Woo! So it seems Arcanist will have 2 jobs available at some point, SMN and SCH. Interesting indeed!

I am fairly sure the yellow dress is a Fencer.

I expect that most careers will be part of opening more than one job.

Yellow above the SCH is MNK.

Unless you mean the one on the lower left in the "background" washed out. Reminds me of FFTA2 Spellblade.

I'm Still very disappointed that Dark knight isn't in the game yet. I'd figure it would be in before geomancer.

Arcanist not Scholar, there is no Geomancer class either, the new class and job is Summoner and Arcnaist.

That's a picture highlighting jobs not classes. Arcanist is a class not a job. It's also wearing classic Scholar attire.

They did state that they intend on making multiple jobs branch off of the same class.

Yep this is a issue on the forums too SE say otherwise it's pretty much Arcanist they could have just simple want to add the Class to show it.

To me it look like a SCH but w/e got to wait and see.

Look closely at the girl in yellow in this poster.

She has a buckler in her off hand and there is a hint of a sword hilt in her right.

Also her armor being a combination of cloth and metal is reminiscent of RDM armor. I would remind you that the RDM rumors include Fencer as a stepping stone.


Sorry, book as weapon and mortarboard as hat = SCH. Besides, SMN is pictured at 9:00 in this poster. Horn and green AF....

Just because a career or job has neither been released or even announced doesn't mean Squenix can't troll us by drawing it.

In that particular picture, the female in yellow is most certainly a Monk. She has the Monk Sphairai hand-to-hand weapon on.

Yep there's no question about that particular poster. The girl in yellow is the MNK job in artifact armor and H2H relic weapon. In fact that's every job in AF & relic as existed before version 1 shut down.

The one in yellow is monk, to do is google FFXIV monk to see that.

Book was confirmed to be summoners weapon a LONG time ago so the character dressed as a scholar is either a second job for Arcanist or it is Arcanist and they chose to use it since it wasn't a class at 1.0 release.

First anyone who has played the original XIV will identify the woman in yellow as Monk, it' even wields the relic weapon.

As someone who probably doesn't follow the XIV forum, read/watch every developer letter, or even played the original, maybe you should do some research of the upcoming class & jobs at release in the XIV forum before you make such assumptions. Stop thinking with a XI mindset. The wheel individuals represents the DoH DoL DoM DoW Armory System in the background and Job System in the foreground.


They've stated in the past that the Armory System classes will also have their own AF. You have to remember that the Armory System classes' quests ended at 37 with it pretty much stopping to a halt in the middle of the class storyline, the AF for the Armory System classes will more than likely go through the continuing class quests. They're highlighting the Arcanist Class in the painting because it'a new and wanted it to stand out.

ya arcanist is what i was thinking. not Geo. But i'm still pretty peeved at no DRK.

I had really hoped they would be sneaking an un-announced Musketeer class/job into ARR...they even had a guild and shop set up for it and everything in Limsa back in 1.0. ;_; Oh well.

It was either the last live letter or the one before that they've stated the new classes and jobs will more likely come at the first expansion though it's possible for them to be availible beforehand.

Yoshida mentioned Dark Knight may be one of them but it's up to the Battle System team mostly.

Yeah, in cruising all things XIV ARR today the girl in yellow is DEFINITELY a MNK.

I will admit the knucks with a face and fangs threw me off track.
