Ok that is beyond my abilities to comprehend at the moment due to how f'ed it is.

and the fable system is just an example of how it wasn't implemented very well

Like it said it's like a half baked idea of mine so I wouldn't read much into it but....

It could work something like

Picking a character to start as in Final Fantasy XIV for example

you choose you deity or god you presumably worship, instead you could perhaps pick your heritage or family tree you wish to be born into, given the story line supports the reasoning behind it. There would be maybe idk 30-40 surnames to choose from.

Starting out this character in whichever heritage gains you a sort of
"temporary guild or Linkshell" and gives you people you can converse with prior to joining another Linkshell

many players don't usually find a linkshell immediately before they begin question and leveling so this could possibly add some more community aspect to the game that it might already be lacking

or maybe it doesn't

Its kinda funny. Everyones *** about every little concept games introduce now days. Who cares if there is or isn't going to be marriages in FFXIV or games thats implement npc family systems. Just don't play then or ignore it like you did while playing ffxi.

I think they are just more concerned with workload, and that's where they are coming from.

and I admit I would MUCH RATHER have the dev team working on other aspects of the game rather than anything in this department yet. possibly for several years in fact if ever.

I just think the idea is something interesting and could be implemented very well given enough effort and thought.

LOTRO has/had a lineage or family thing. I don't recall how exactly it worked though since it never interested me.

larping is ghey. Theres a bunch of people up in cedar park area that do something similar. Its kinda like larping in which you use pvc/wood/metal made weapons and such but some people go really overboard into making sheet metal armor and such. They do full contact. I've heard people come out of it with lots of bruises and rarely broken bones

That it is. It's good entertainment when you're having a picnic though. LOL! First time I saw it I was out for a jog. The only thing that ran through my mind is, "WTF is this?!?"

I'd prefer they leave the whole issue out of the game entirely. It was silly in XI, and it would be silly here as well.

If you really want to get "married" and show it off to people, craft each other rings, and have a friend preside over a ceremony somewhere in the city. Then anyone who examines you will see your cute little ring with your sweetheart's name on it.

Oh and remember -

All girls on the internet are men. All men on the internet are children. All children on the internet are FBI.
