Price Fixers

Interesting strategy these guys have going. Look at these price histories.

All buying and selling the same items for very low prices, buying others' items at these prices then jacking it back up to make profit for this guy:

So just a note if you see people like this selling items really cheap suddenly, try to take advantage of them if looking to buy, or if you're trying to sell, don't fall for their tricks, because the market will recover on its own.

I always try to fish the AH for people that put really expensive items up for really cheap, These links made me a sad panda though >< chiv chain for 50k? my god lol ; ;

well if he want's to try to jack up the price good luck to him. But if his items do not sell fast enough and someone else sells the items for cheaper he wont make any gil. I have tried to play these games but it can be very frustrating because there is almost always ready to sell an item for less then you unless you are the one selling for less then the rest Good Luck

This is just ridiculous.

This is, in fact, an RMT technique. They put stuff up for a handful of gil and then their coworkers buy it up immediately. It's actually very hard to buy their item cheap; they're usually too fast. But sometimes if you're lucky, you can catch it. There was a history a while back with some guy buying an assault earring for 1 gil from an RMT price fixer, and a friend of mine made off with a Wind earring (700k) for 100 gil before (trust me, I was kicking myself for not trying). Me, Ive been camping the AH trying to catch a few D Clothss (RMTs dragged it down to 100k last week) but I was never fast enough.

As someone said, keep an eye out and maybe if you're fast enough you can catch a great deal, but if you're selling, dont fall for it! List it at normal AH price and the market will bounce back on it's own within hours.
