The TP Bonus granted would outweigh the STR from Alkies/Heafoc anyways. I get why people would want to maximize their weaponskill build though. I can't figure out why S/E would add RACC/RATK on AF3 gloves it's just weird...

Thats what Seiryu's Kote are for.. god damn

Edit: I believe it really stole the focus from being pure melee gloves..

Could use disable hands if you're having issues with lock not processing properly, just make sure to enable them once Sekkanoki is down.

Using ffxicalc, after the +5stp trait I calculate this to be 5-hit.



With this WS set



Unless ffxicalc is wrong, should be WSing at 16.9tp and tping at 20.8 giving 100.1 tp after 5 hits.

Would it be worth switching to tactical mantle and bullwhip belt for the 2% haste? Attack-35 and 3% DA seems a lot to lose.

id like to note that i think i have already posted this set in another thread for the sam update. think it was the one i made, but:



imo, not adding more zanshin to a 5 hit build for sam would be gimping it. i personally havent done any testing, but i would presume that with 5/5 ikishoten a zanshin proc would be better than a da proc. there lies the reason behind the switch from tactical&bullwhip to unkai&goading instead of to atheling&bullwhip. im also losing 2% haste but also adding ace's mufflers in for more zanshin.

so in short, in my build, i see no reason to not add more zanshin if you have the option to add it.

Isn't 5/5 ikish merits just a 15tp return? I have not had time to get on and test but I thought it was 3tp each merit making DA's better? Also im never swapping +1 dusk for ace's and I would be dubious about atheling. <3 that back.

while in theory it makes sense, we still have little to no info on the new zanshin update. Keep in mind zanshin is like what? 35% proc before, but with hasso only 10% roughly has been copnfirmed to proc a la DA manner, which means we have to see exactly how much things like gear and merits affect the hasso zanshin

Also what is the effect during seigan? have to keep in mind if you ever have to fall back on this it might be better to have DA rather then zenshin.

Personally i think it is a bit early to drop time and effort working with this stuff till it is confirmed, so for time being i am only making sure to work with the extra 5stp and switching to some ikoshoten merits(extra tp could be useful if anything at least for tp bonus? and no idea if zenshin merits works with it yet which might be worth dropping medi for it if it does)

3tp per merit yes. so for simplicity ill explain it this way. say each reg hit u make gives u 20tp. since zanshin can now proc after a landed hit u will get a second hit with the extra 15 tp. this makes the second hit in that attack(the zanshin hit) round worth 35tp. so a zanshin proc would be 20+35=55 in one attack round, in comparison to a da proc which would be 20+20=40 tp.

all in all, to each his or her own. im in no way telling ppl they need to use this set to be good. just throwing out what use have so ppl can have some options.
