Where are the excuses now though England? A team of players who everyone decided are worse bar Gareth Bale are going to the semi-finals when you lost to Iceland.

A group of players that actually give a *** about representing their country, that's the difference.

I said this right after the game tonight. England can learn a lot about belief, commitment, determination and pride from Wales. Bale said before the England-Wales game that the England players had less pride than the Welsh, and they do. Their pitiful display against Iceland just proves that.

Five goals in a match involving Italy? I'd love to see that. This probably never happened since I was born.

That said, I haven't been following this tournament. Never watched any of the matches. I heard that Italy doesn't really play as defensive as it used to be. Is that true?
