Best Saying I ever heard in the Army:
Not every Muslim is a terrorist, but every terrorist is a Muslim.
Media coverage impression. It affects people without them even realizing it.
There's a lot of "terror" in this world that doesn't get as much sensationalist coverage as do some others. How often did we hear about the crisis in CAF and Myanmar? Not to mention that "terrorism" doesn't have an international law/consensus definition yet, so you're free to use the word selectively to fit your agenda of conforming people to your ideology. The "Muslim Brotherhood" went from the ruling party in Egypt to a terrorist organization in Egypt and the GCC overnight (and
they're everywhere).
Individual acts like these have a lot more to do with the person's background, psychological profile, living conditions etc than with his religion. One attacker in this series already has a criminal record, displayed inappropriate/violent behavior in mosques, among other things. I'm not sure if we're gonna ever find out about the real motive behind throwing your life away like that. I mean, if you find ISIS ideology appealing, you'd just join them.
