Ukraine isn't NATO. It's a buffer country between Putin's backyard and the West. You know, like Mexico is to the United States.

The Crimean election was all show. Putin wasn't going to respect the will of the people if it didn't go his way and to some credit he does have the backing of Russian nationals.

I never said they were part of NATO, I'm saying NATO is just a sorry excuse for suckers to suck up to major world power. If Putin decide to take over Ukraine will NATO allow it just because Ukraine isn't part of it's nerd club? Hmmm Sanctions wow wow Who gives a f??? about sanctions.. Sanctions to that side of the world is like throwing a water balloon at these guys.

One who doesn't understand how big of a deal ruining a nation's economy is.

It's really our only rational course of action.

The further away you are from a place and the less knowledge you have of it, the more likely you are to drop some bombs on it.

I think they did a study of this recently.

Might want to cite something, as MOST of the bombs going off in the world are between a handful of countries that are very close to each other and very knowledgeable about each other. Historically, that's been pretty common as well, only the US drops bombs on people far away.

An individual who calls for war at every decision yet refuses to participate in the action when the time comes. Also known as "bomb as I say, don't dodge as I do"

Oh, an elected politician. Got it.

Though, my "ha ha, I'm making a joke" definition does skew pretty close to the more traditional definition of a chickenhawk.

I asked for a source for a citation on this, because MOST bombs dropped since the advent of dropping bombs have happened between countries in close proximity and immense knowledge of each other.

You post an article of how 1/6 Americans can find Ukraine on a map...

1. We aren't bombing Ukraine
2. That has nothing to do with the statement you made
3. Posting in Russian on an English forum is moronic

Afghanistan
Bosnia
Cambodia
Congo
Korea
Guatemala
Indonesia
Laos
Grenada
Iraq
Kuwait
Lebanon
Libya
Nicaragua
Pakistan
Palestine
Panama
Peru
Somalia
Sudan
Vietnam
Yemen
Yugoslavia

Was not aware that all these countries are in close proximity of the U.S. and the American public has an immense knowledge of them.

Also I can tell you read the article.
Quote:
The point of the poll was to see how foreign policy views can be affected by people’s perceptions of where countries are located. In fact, according to the post,”The further our respondents thought that Ukraine was from its actual location, the more they wanted the U.S. to intervene militarily.”

Most of the places on your list we didn't drop bombs on, but I'll humor you a bit.

What percentage of all bombs dropped were dropped by the US? And how many of the places WE dropped bombs are were we the initial aggressor?

The twerp has a point, Jassik: do you have a citation for your claim that bombing largely happens among neighbors?

That said, many of those you listed, Chaosx, were part of UN missions. It's disingenuous to condemn the US for having the world's strongest military and being asked to participate in multi-national campaigns.

Right because the U.S. doesn't lead the U.N. in military intervention, ever.

Why am I going to waste my time providing sources when you can't even be bothered to read them?

And thanks guys for all the name calling. Very civil, as usual.

Japanese characters are fine, but a few Russian words and you call me moronic.

God Bless 'Merica!

Thank you for illustrating my point.

Notice how it says: "Here is a list* of the countries bombed by the United States since the end of the Second World War."

I'm not sure how to clarify that more.

If you throw out the US then Jassik's comment makes sense, not many countries have long range bombers, no one in the Middle East, Africa, South America, Indonesia, have long range capabilities. Few countries amongst those regions have a viable Air Force. Their idea of long range is artillery barrages at best, and who is in range for that? Your neighbor. So who does that leave? The Russians, Japanese, England, the Australians, maybe one or two more have long range, when was the last time Japan, England, or Australia bombed anyone? I'd like to see this mystery study as well.

Your link demonstrated nothing supporting your point, you demand that people read sources you haven't posted, you try to dodge simple questions... it's not a question of civility to judge you a twerp.
