Byak's statement about Zaraki's shikai being in permanent release never existing to begin with might be a hint at Yachiru. Tbh I believe she is just the manifestation of Nozarashi. If you think about how they first met and that Zaraki himself gave her a name, which thus wasn't her true name, and she disappeared when he released his shikai.

We've waited a long time for Ichigo to come back and now his god damn sword breaks in one page while using Bankai after he's fused all his powers together and become godlike in strength

about 5 years too long. even the last issue was really nothing happening. so chatting about feelings and then a cliffhanger.

I'm trying to figure out how justice will prevail.. I mean in order for there to be a happy ending they basically need to kill god.. so question now becomes "how on earth do they do that???" Will Ichigo become Getsuga again? If so, how's he supposed to do that with his powers drained? Or will Aizen give Ichigo some power back or something? Actually, wtf happened to Aizen anyway?? He was hit by that one Quincy guy with the jacked up teeth and fell over. Surely Aizen can't fall that easily.. right?

There's quite a few plot holes and an overpowered arch villain to kill. There seems to be no happy ending that will make any sense

ichigo's dad or some other person will do a super special training they never thought of doing before and then he'll win.

remember that ichigo and ishida's dad both showed up and then did nothing. it litterallly ended an issue on that as a cliffhanger and never went bck to it.

also, urahara is the only real god in bleach.

How do you defeat a demi-god that can see all?

What about a shikai that uses water to hypnotize others to see illusions?

Only a couple more chapters left, and if the latest is any indication, we're going full Kubo.

I expect the Zero Division to make an appearance, probably a minor one. At least Hyousube Ichibei (the monk) was recuperating last I remember.

And the usual layers upon layers of ability "tiers" and power-ups. Convenient ones, of course. It was cool the first time, but by now Kubo is about to surpass JoJo's Araki in this field (not a good thing).

The funniest moment about this arc though is the Kenpachi thing:
"We're in deep ***. We just lost the Captain Commander. WHAT DO?
..AHA! Let's have our strongest 2 BATTLE TO DEATH...because tradition (did I miss something?). Soul Society only needs one Sna...I mean Kenpachi".

And the miracle Quincy dude receiving the Yammy (Arrancar numero cero) treatment LOL. Ain't got no time for you buddy, we've got an arc to wrap up!

Seriously though, how come nobody, throughout the series, recognized Ichigo's Quincy reiatsu (excluding his father and All-Knowing Urahara)? Ishida is supposed to be smart and perceptive.
And how could Ichigo carry out normal shinigami duties at the start of the series and send souls to soul society if his powers were suppressed?

That being said, I don't think that Kubo ret-cons events to serve future plots, despite most of them being seemingly convoluted.


Unless it was stated and I missed it, I don't think Aizen's shikai utilizes water. It controls the 5 senses, not just vision.

I think Aizen's illusion shikai goes beyond "just" the 5 senses.
But such an immense power was bound behind a condition that had to be met, you need to see Aizen activate his Shikai (or something?) to make you fall "prey" of his power.
Which is why some characters who didn't fall for that trick were considered useful in the war agaisnt Aizen.
Then things went differently and ***hit the fan and ok, we know the rest.

The "water" part was the Shikai Aizen was PRETENDING to have with the other captains.

Right. Same mess with Yammy, and both were off screened.

There are two ways to defeat this guy that could have worked..both using his strength against him:

Byakuya uses his bankai to eviscerate dude's brain, right in throug the ear.. causing it the grow back. From there, he either has no memories or they keep doing it til his brain swells beyond his skull.

Kenpachi repeatedly cuts off one hand/arm on the guy, causing it to grow back bigger each time to the point that it's unwieldly.

This weeks chapter:

Something something he saw his defeat in a 'dream' by Haschwalth and thought it was just a dream and didn't alter that future so Ichigo still had a chance to defeat him something something


Still doesn't explain what happened at the end with Zangetsu, his Quincy powers were drained so how come it went back to the normal looking shikai

Probably gonna be something like when Ginjo tried to steal his power in the Fullbringer arc and it didn't work because of how deep it is within him

And how did he not know Ishida would shoot him

And why the *** didn't we see the dads do anything, they're powerful too

Gotta be honest, I prefer pretty much all the fake leaks from the last few days over what actually happened.
They may have been stupidly cliche, but this was so *** boring.

Honestly, the last year was about revealing bankai and backstories. What did I expect?
