Guild Points Update Confusion

so in the last version update they said "Guild points will no longer be lost when revoking guild membership", has anyone done this yet? i'm 99 cooking and i have membership with goldsmithing guild and have 44k points. do these points get transfered to the new guild you go to, or do they stay in the guild you got them from and you just can't use them till you change back?

You don't get them transferred, they just sortof stay in limbo at your old guild until you go back to them.

E.x.
Cooking guild 55k points and you switch to Goldsmithing, your goldsmithing will be at 0 if you just switched however if you switch back to cooking, it'll be at 55k still.
